Algemeen
De Sire Larry Carlton A3GS grand auditorium biedt fingerpickers en plectrumgitaristen een westerngitaar die gemakkelijker te bespelen is dan een dreadnought. Vooral doordat de middle bout een stuk slanker is, kun je hem gemakkelijk op je been plaatsen en is hierdoor ook eveneens bijzonder handelbaar in andere situaties. De akoestische gitaar laat echter nog steeds een sound van formaat laat horen. Dit komt niet alleen door de prominente lower bout, maar ook het massieve sparren bovenblad en de gelamineerde mahonie bodydelen laten hierin duidelijk hun stem horen.
Larry Carlton A3GS: SIB pickup systeem met 2 elementen
Deze uitvoering heeft weliswaar 2 elementen aan boord en is voorzien van een Sire Zebra 7 SIB preamp-systeem om het uitversterken en het vormen van je versterkte gitaargeluid toch zo simpel mogelijk te houden. Vooral door de pick up blend knop kun je zeer diverse geluiden naar voren halen. Dit doe je door hiermee de mix tussen het piëzo-element onder de brugkam en de ingebouwde microfoon te variëren. Met de eq searcher potmeter kun je daarna de algehele klank finetunen en afsluitend het correcte volume bepalen. Wat tevens fijn is, is dat de slagplaat los wordt meegeleverd. Jij bepaalt of deze op de top van deze Larry Carlton A3 gitaar wordt bevestigd.
