Zoek je een elektrisch-akoestische dreadnought met die all mahogany klank, die fijne vintage jaren 30 looks en toch alle voordelen van een modern gebouwde westerngitaar? Dan is hier de Metropolis Composer QIT van het Canadese kwaliteitsgitaarmerk Godin voor een prima prijsstelling. De hals en alle bodydelen zijn natuurlijk gemaakt van mahoniehout, waar het bovenblad massief is en de achter- plus zijkanten uit een bijzonder stabiele gelaagde variant zijn opgetrokken. Door de halfglans finish voelt de gehele gitaar net wat prettiger aan en blijf je ook in de warmere situaties nergens plakken.
Metropolis Composer QIT: gemakkelijk spelen plus opdrukken én een betrouwbare uitversterking
Daarnaast voelt de hals sowieso al vertrouwd en hebben de vingers van je frethand het net wat makkelijker tijdens het spelen en het uitvoeren van smaakvolle bends door de iets plattere 16 inch toetsradius. De brugkam en topkam van Graph Tech zorgen overigens niet alleen voor extra stemvastheid, maar daar bij aanzienlijk bij aan de doorklinkend sound van de massive mahogany top. Om dit duidelijk én evenwichtig uit te versterken, is bij deze Godin Metropolis Composer gekozen voor een Q1T voorversterker in combinatie met een under-saddle transducer pickup. Met de 3 regelaar kun je je sound verder tweaken qua volume, bassen en trebles.
