Algemeen
Op zoek naar een versterkte speelervaring in een elektrisch-akoestische setting, maar met het comfort van een elektrische bas en zonder de hinderlijke feedbackgeluiden? Dan is de GB5 5-snarige basgitaar van Sire, in samenwerking met meesterbasgitarist Marcus Miller, wellicht precies wat je nodig hebt. Deze versie met 5 snaren met een lage B-snaar biedt je een iets groter bereik aan noten, waardoor je net wat meer mogelijkheden hebt. Ondanks zijn slankere thinline body voelt de 5-string nog steeds comfortabel aan en biedt hij je een rijke, resonante klank dankzij vooral het massieve sparren bovenblad, ondersteund door de warme klank-accenten van het mahonie in de achter- en zijkanten.
Marcus Miller GB5 5: aangenaam 5-snarige akoestisch bas spelen, veelzijdig versterken
De geschroefde hals, vervaardigd uit 3 delen van eveneens mahonie, zorgt voor de nodige stabiliteit, terwijl de palissander toets is behandeld met Sire's Edgeless technologie voor een aangenaam afgerond fretbord. Samen met het comfortabele C-profiel van de hals en de slanke thinline body draagt dit bij aan het speelgemak van deze 5-snarige akoestische GB5 bas. Het geluid van de stalen snaren wordt nauwkeurig opgevangen door het piëzo-element en doorgestuurd naar de speciaal ontworpen Vividx-B voorversterker, compleet met krachtige 3-bands equalizer en fase-schakelaar voor een veelzijdige geluidsafstemming. Met de GB5 5 ben je klaar om elke muzikale elektrisch-akoestische uitdaging aan te gaan.

Ik heb ook zo’n bass en bij mij heb de B en de G snaar bijna geen output. Bij de hoofdverdeler weten ze ook geen oplossing. Deze bass ligt nochtans zeer goed bespeelbaar. Indien hier iemand ooit een oplossing voor weet zou ik zeer dankbaar zijn.

Ik wilde graag een semi akoestische bas erbij en dan 1 die er ook nog leuk uitziet. 5 snarig met een lage B. En daar zit het probleem. De bas speelt geweldig, voelt goed aan, is niet zwaar en hangt perfect in balans, alleen de output van de lage "B" blijft t.o.v. de rest van de bas zover achter dat het eigenlijk waanzin is dat dit een 5 snarige bas is. Gelukkig zijn ze bij BAX niet moeilijk en mocht ik de bas weer terug brengen. Thanks guy's, the search goes on....
