Schreef het volgende over Behringer Eurolive B1800XP actieve subwoofer

Schreef het volgende over Behringer Eurolive B1800XP actieve subwoofer
This is not my first pair of active subs! I have had several pairs including The Box Pro DSP18 and Alto Active subs, Studiomaster DRIVE 15 (Yuck), I also have a pair of Bishopsound 1000w BETA 18's.
So what are these subwoofers like? They are low, lovely subsonic output. They don't clip as easily as The Box DSP18's. They do sound really good.
To be fair to them [for the money] they are a great sounding and powerful active subwoofer.
The build quality is quite durable - due to the plastics.
They are heavy, but easy to carry due to size and handle placement.
Now for the not so good.
Not really sure this is a major negative point but the top and bottom of the cabinet are made reinforced ABS plastic! The speaker pole hole (top hat hole?) is quite loose. Just the sides, front, and back are MDF.
The driver within is a pressed steel Turbosound driver TS-18SW2000A6 - The 2000 part being the peak rating aka 500w RMS driver! Now Behringer rate the Amplifier at 3000w (750w RMS/1500w program/3000w peak), hence the 3000w claim for the sub that contains a 500w RMS / 1000w continuous / 2000w peak driver. Having said that it does sound good.
It's exactly the same driver as the B1800D-PRO except it's branded Turbosound. The B1800D-PRO claims 1000w RMS (amplifier power) 1400w peak. Due to Behringer using different methods for peak calculation it's not possible to say if this sub has a more powerful amp.
Would I buy again? Hmmm. It's a good sub at a good price, but given it's a 500w RMS driver id look to see what else is in this price range before buying. The Box DSP 18 which I have claims 800w RMS amp power seems to clip before these so id buy the Behringer over The Box (which I believe is also manufactured by Behringer as the cabinets like the DR115DSP). I know it's about a mix of SPL, not watts and how it actually sounds. I'd say it's a good sub for the money!
