Algemeen
De Lakland Skyline Darryl Jones Signature Lake Placid Blue Gloss lijkt erg op de 44-60 bassen van Lakland, maar dan met meer gewelfde contouren. Dit model werd geïnspireerd door Darryl Jones, de opvolger van Bill Wyman bij The Rolling Stones. De essen body werd afgewerkt met een Lake Placid Blue Gloss finish en een white pearl slagplaat. Samen met de matching headstock, de pearl block inlays in de palissander toets en enkele chrome accenten resulteert dit in een vintage look die pure rock ‘n roll uitstraalt. En ook het geluid past perfect in dat plaatje: de twee Lakland Vintage Single Coil pickups zorgen voor een klassiek geluid met warme basklanken en een breed midrange. De hals van deze elektrische bas werd minutieus afgesteld met een PLEK-machine, die werkt met een gedetailleerde scan en lasergestuurde precisie. Zowel de intonatie als de stabiliteit zijn hierdoor nagenoeg perfect, en ook het speelcomfort ligt erg hoog.
Plus- en minpunten
- Deze bas werd in Duitsland zeer accuraat afgesteld met een volautomatische PLEK-machine die werkt met een volledige scan van hals, toets en frets.
