Algemeen

De Ovation CE44 Exotic behoort tot de bijzonder aantrekkelijke Celebrity Elite serie elektrisch-akoestische gitaren. De basis van elk van deze modellen wordt gevormd door de welbekende Roundback achterkant, volledig vervaardigd uit het lichte, duurzame composiet Lyrachord. Daar werden de nodige luxe kenmerken aan toegevoegd, getuige de unieke en met schitterende hardhouten epauletten versierde schouderklankgaten. Op het bovenblad van deze versie prijkt bovendien de rijke nerf van exotisch spalted maple. Alsof dat nog niet genoeg is, zien we onder andere in de toets abalone positiestippen.

CE44 Celebrity Elite Exotic: transparant, evenwichtig, gefocus & krachtig

De kleine en grotere klankgaten die zich bovenaan het bovenblad van deze Ovation bevinden, zijn meer dan alleen een stijlvolle toevoeging. Ze zorgen ervoor dat hoge tonen transparanter klinken en de bassen meer evenwichtig en gefocust. Samen met de ingenieuze constructie van de achterzijde levert dit een sound op met genoeg sustain, volume en projectie. Ga je het podium op met deze CE44 westerngitaar, dan zul je merken dat er een krachtige output naar je mixer wordt gestuurd en feedback een zeldzaamheid zal zijn. Stel het geluid van deze Celebrity Elite Exotic af met de 3-bands equalizer en stem de gitaar met behulp van de ingebouwde tuner.

J’aime vraiment le son de cette guitare en acoustique et surtout branchée. Agréable à jouer, le manche me convient bien. Pour le prix c’est assez inattendu !! J’ai aussi une Taylor que je joue beaucoup moins maintenant….

Achat envisagé en neuf mais hésitant ... une promo en STOCK B m'a décidé. Pour presque la moitié du prix public en neuf, c'était cadeau pour mon anniversaire de retraité "gratteux" de loisir ! Livrée en double carton de protection via Colissimo sans problème. Guitare très esthétique à mon goût, finition soignée, superbe table en érable veiné, confort de la caisse ROUND BACK et son revêtement antiglisse pour la jambe en jouant assis, bonne jouabilité du manche au frettage OK , projection sonore forte et bien équilibrée grâce aux cordes montées d'origine (ADAMAS Nuevo Coated 12/53), sans parler de l'avantage du préampli égaliseur et accordeur intégré ! Donc très satisfait de cet achat malgré une discrète fissure de 3 cm du vernis de la table au bas de la caisse.
