The case is very sturdy, and the build quality is excellent. The cost is also high, but for what is essentially just a shell, it feels worth it.
For Dingwall owners, since the Dingwall basses are quite long, they fit a bit snugly in the case. I had to remove some of the internal foam to make it close properly. However, this doesn't concern me, as my soft case is also padded, and it was almost double-padded, which was preventing the case from closing. I feel this case would be perfect for standard-length instruments.
The design of the shell is great and well-balanced. It can stand up vertically on its own and rest unaided, and the handle is positioned for even weight distribution.
I'm a big fan of Janek Gwizdala, who has done videos about this case, and I recommend adding a piece of Velcro around the handle where the two parts of the case meet for extra security.
It survived its first trip to India, including internal flights, perfectly. There are a few marks on the case, but the bass was fine.
Overall, it’s a great piece of kit, and I’m very happy with the purchase. It was essentially this or an ENKI for me.
