Roland RD-88 EX stage piano
After filling the room with synths and gear I decided to go back to basics and train skills with the Piano to get more out off playing music. The choice is personal, but I found the Roland RD series to good to be true. Had one in the late eighties RD200 which i loved (except the weight) . RD88EX is in my opinion the middle ground in price functionality and sound, and it does sound nice with or without monitors. Build in speakers are very usefull, quick startup and play without booting up the entire electronics division ; ) . The weight is also a plus, not to heavy and still sturdy enough to get the hammering going on that very enjoyable keybed. The build in daw control/MIDI capability are a plus if you want to take it a step further and worked flawless out of the box. Bax gave a good deal and resulted in me buying one brand new. Did i mention the split and layer, it sound ridicules good for the price.
